FFI Membership Guidelines

The terms and conditions govern the relationship between the Association and its members.

  • WHO CAN APPLY FOR MEMBERSHIP
    • Membership is open to all Filipinos who are currently employed or have had experience working in a footwear or footwear related industry. Footwear related industries are industries that cater to the technical or material needs of footwear manufacturers.
    • Membership is also open to foreign nationals with the same experience as above and who meet the following criteria:
      • Born in the Philippines
      • Ancestor is a Filipino citizen or a former Filipino citizen
      • A Filipino citizen by birth but changed citizenship
  • APPLICATION PROCEDURE
    • Applicants can apply by submitting their CV’s to any of the member who will forward them to the membership committee. The membership committee will be composed of all current officers of the association.
  • APPROVAL OF APPLICATION
    • The membership committee is tasked with reviewing all applications during their monthly meeting and of approving or denying applicants entry to the organization.
    • Full membership for approved applicants will be recognized after full payment of lifetime membership fee of US$50.00 federal fee plus the chapter fee of the chapter he is joining.
  • MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS
    • Upon approval of membership, members are required to sign and conform to the set Code of Conduct of the association.
    • Members are also required to support the association’s mission and vision and help promote future endeavors.
    • Members are also encouraged to actively participate in all of the association’s projects and meetings. It is encouraged that each member attend at least ONE national meeting or TWO chapter meetings in a year.
    • Members will be issued a membership card and a corresponding number.
    • Members have a right to request a review or correct any personal data held by the association. Members are responsible for keeping the association up to date as to their correct communication or postal address.
  • TERMINATION OF MEMBERSHIP:
    • Members who wishes to withdraw their membership may do so at any time by giving a written notice addressed to the Membership Committee. The membership committee will deliberate and approve these withdrawal during their monthly meeting.
      • Members who withdraw from the organization must return their membership card to the membership committee.
      • Membership fee paid will not be refunded.
    • The association reserves the right to terminate a member upon proof that such member has besmirched the reputation of the association and is contrary to the set vision and missions that the association has established as well as the set Code of Conduct.
