FFI CHINA HOLDS ELECTION AND CHRISTMAS PARTY

Last Saturday, December 04 2010, saw members of FFI China Chapter troop to Clifford Resort for the election of officers for the years 2011 – 2012 and also to hold the yearly Ffi China Christmas party. The event was led by outgoing President Rod Cansino. Mr. Jojo Dancel was designated as program moderator. The day started with the registration of member-participants and guests, with the help from Ms. Rose Benaza and Ms. Flor Cabasan. Around 45 members confirmed to attend but only 32 were able to make it. About 8 guests also joined the party. The singing of the national anthem was led by Ms. Flor Cabasan. Ms. Nila Erazo said the opening prayers. A welcome speech was delivered by Mr. Rod Cansino, urging every member to be more active to keep the association going. Mr. Dan Neri ( FFI China Treasurer ) made a detailed account of the current funds of the chapter. Then, it was the turn again of Mr. Rod Cansino to give an account of the accomplishments during the last two years.

During the break, the election was held. The following people were elected. Mr. Jojo Dancel as President, Mr. Ben Ducusin as Vice President, Ms. Lolit Chua as Secretary, Mr. Dan Neri continues to be the Treasurer, Mr. Aron Cabasan was designated as Auditor, while Mr. Rod Cansino was assigned to be the PRO for external affairs and Mr. Norman Leano to be PRO for internal affairs. Area coordinators will be assigned on succeeding meetings of the officers. Mr. Jess Miranda volunteered to be the Sports coordinator.

After lunch, the group held the annual Christmas Party – with lots of food and drinks – and parlor games. The games were coordinated by Messrs. Boyet Boma and Aron Cabasan . Raffle draws were also held, spearheaded by Dan Neri and contributions coming from Ms. Ely Martinez , Lolit Chua, Rose Benaza, Carlotta Esturas, Flor Cabasan and Messrs. Willy Burgos, Jimmy Villanueva , Boyet Boma, Danny Castro and the brands – Puma, Vans , Northface. Free beer was provided by San Miguel Brewery, care of Van of SMB.

Exchanging of gifts were also held by the participants, including guests from a packaging company in Dongguan ( Haydee, Michelle, Dianne, Diana, Romeo ). Lastly, a speech was delivered by the outgoing President, Mr. Rod Cansino.

Overall, it was a good time to meet friends, partake of the delicious array of foods and beverages and a lot of mind boggling concoctions, care of Mr. Ben Ducusin and Alvin de los Santos . The party ended up at Jimmy Villanueva’s apartment where a special dinuguan was served.
